Subject: Apex domain certificate stuck on "waiting on DNS propagation" — DNS verification succeeds every time, but certificate never issues

Site name: inconspicuous-greed (inconspicuous-greed.netlify.app)
Custom domain: inconspicuousgreed.com

DNS records (at GoDaddy):

  • A record, Host @75.2.60.5
  • CNAME record, Host wwwinconspicuous-greed.netlify.app

The issue:
The apex domain (inconspicuousgreed.com) has been stuck on “Waiting on DNS propagation” in Domain management → HTTPS for several days. Clicking “Verify DNS configuration” returns “DNS verification successful” immediately, every time — but refreshing the page reverts the status back to “Waiting on DNS propagation” and the certificate never actually completes issuing. This loop has repeated many times over multiple days.

Additional detail — inconsistent behavior across devices:

  • On my phone, both the apex and www versions have loaded correctly with valid HTTPS.
  • On a different device (my wife’s PC), the apex domain loaded fine, but www threw a “connection is not private” certificate warning.
  • This suggests the certificate itself may be in an inconsistent/corrupted state rather than a straightforward one-domain-vs-the-other issue.

What I’ve already confirmed/tried:

  • DNS is correctly configured and propagated (confirmed via repeated successful “Verify DNS configuration” checks, and via external DNS lookup tools).
  • www has successfully received a certificate at least once (loads clean on some devices).
  • Repeatedly clicking “Verify DNS configuration” and refreshing does not resolve it — same loop every time.
  • This has been ongoing past Netlify’s documented automatic retry window (24 hours + 2 days of hourly retries).

Requesting: a manual certificate cache flush / reprovision for this domain, since automatic provisioning appears to be stuck in a loop rather than failing outright.
