Hi Netlify Support,
I own and control storeshift.in and both Netlify accounts/teams involved.
The DNS zone for storeshift.in is intentionally managed by my older Netlify team. I do NOT want to move, delete, or transfer the storeshift.in DNS zone because it is also being used by other subdomains and services.
I have deployed a new site on another Netlify team:
careers-storeshift-v2.netlify.app
I want to assign this custom subdomain to that new site:
careers.storeshift.in
On the existing Netlify DNS zone, I have already created:
Type: CNAME
Name: careers.storeshift.in
Value: careers-storeshift-v2.netlify.app
However, when I try to add careers.storeshift.in as a custom domain on the new site, Netlify shows this error:
“storeshift.in or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
I want to keep the parent storeshift.in DNS zone on the existing team and only use careers.storeshift.in with the new site/team.
Could you please help me assign/release only careers.storeshift.in to careers-storeshift-v2.netlify.app without transferring or deleting the parent storeshift.in DNS zone?
I control both teams and can add a TXT DNS record if ownership verification is required.
