SSL/TLS Certificate - Let's Encrypt not working

I need help to resolve the SSL/TSL certificate issues of my website. I have a limited knowledge on the technical terms, but in my limited knowledge, what I want is that my website do not signal as “Connection not secure” anymore (i.e. I need it to be accessed through https instead of only http).

I have followed the troubleshooting guide, and through the DNSchecker I could see that my custom domain is set to ‘not authorized’ everywhere.
What should I do after having this information?

I apologize in advance for any misused term. Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything.

The specific information is below.

  • Netlify site name: flaviaerius.netlify.app
  • Custom domain: flaviaerius.com
  • Error message:
" We could not provision a Let’s Encrypt certificate for your custom domain.

Please read our troubleshooting guide for some tips on what might be happening."

  • I have already tried all steps of the troubleshooting guide, and could see through DNSchecker.org that my custom domain has a server not resolved anywhere in the world (all red xs).

Thank you in advance!

Hi @flaviaerius,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to Netlify’s Support Forums!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Checking on the site now, I do see that the SSL Certificate has been provisioned. Visiting the domain is properly resolving. However, I noticed that the NETLIFY Records have been removed from the DNS Zone and two records were added, an ALIAS Record and a CNAME Record.

You can re-add the NETLIFY Records by removing the domain from here:

And then adding them back.

You should then be able to remove the added ALIAS Record and a CNAME Record as they should not be needed.

We have a Support Guide here on setting up Netlify DNS:

It worked perfectly, right away!

Thank you so much, Melvin!

Have a great week.
