SSL Certificate Not Provisioning for Custom .CA Domain (marleyco.ca)

Netlify Site Name: marley-co.netlify.app

Custom Domain: marleyco.ca

Error Message: “We could not provision a Let’s Encrypt certificate for your custom domain.”

Steps Taken:

  1. DNS Configuration:
  • Using Netlify DNS with nameservers properly set in netfirms.com
  • Nameservers confirmed:
  1. Tools Used for Verification:
  • DNSChecker.org shows mixed results:
    • Some servers showing p05 nameservers (old records)
    • Some showing no results
    • Full propagation appears incomplete
  1. Retries in Netlify:
  • Used “Verify DNS Configuration” in Site Settings > Domain Management > HTTPS multiple times without success
  1. Propagation Time:
  • DNS changes made on 01/24/2025 11:45:48 AM
  • It has been 64+ hours since changes were made

Screenshots:

  1. Nameserver settings in Netlify:

  2. DNSChecker results:
    Green Checkmarks around the globe

Additional Notes:

  • Previous experience with .ca domains requiring manual SSL approval
  • Using Netlify DNS with confirmed green checkmarks in dashboard
  • Similar to a previous case where manual intervention was needed

Request: Could you please investigate why the SSL certificate isn’t being provisioned? Based on previous experience with .ca domains, this may require manual approval from your team.

Thank you kindly

Hi @AquiticQuail,

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear about the issue.

I was able to (on our end) click the Verify DNS button and the SSL certificate was provisioned for the site. You can see here: Netlify

Visiting the domain marleyco.ca is showing that site secure and is resolving properly. Let us know if you have any issues.
