I have hosted this website at netlify: www.banjocode.com, using the banjocode.netlify.com base url.
I have SSL, but some of my readers get blocked. Apparaently, my certificates are for *.netlify.com, while the url is banjocode.com. What can I do?

Hi, @banjo, and welcome to our Netlify community site. 
The SSL certificate only covered www.banjocode.com but not the apex/root domain of banjocode.com. That has been updated now by clicking the “Renew certificate” button found here:
https://app.netlify.com/sites/banjocode/settings/domain#ssl-tls-certificate
If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please let us know.
