[SOLVED] My primary domain is suddenly awaiting netlify dns

Hello

My site has been hosted by Netlify for over a year.
Today suddenly it was inaccessible so I checked the domain management and it says “Awaiting Netlify DNS”.

Site name: ihavea-quest.netlify.app
Custom domain: ihavea.quest
Another custom domain: www.ihavea.quest

The second custom domain is working fine with Netlify DNS.
Please help.

It works now.

What was the problem? And did you have to fix it manually?

The NETLIFY record for apex domain was missing from NS1, I had to manually add it. It should not just randomly drop though unless those records were deleted.

I did not delete any Netlify records, so that’s strange indeed.
