Server Not Found

Hello! So I have 2 sites through Netlify which both pull their builds from my github repo.
My software portfolio deploys no problem, but my art portfolio domain always results in a server not found error when I visit it ‘Casualpancakes.com

I get the following error message:

We can’t connect to the server at www.casualpancakes.com.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

Try again later.
Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

How can I go about fixing this?

Your website loads fine for me:

Just like the error says, maybe something is wrong with your local connection settings?

Hi, @casualpancakes. My best guess is TTL (time to live) issues:

If you are still seeing issues, please let us know what IP address your browser is attempting to connect to. It would also help to know what DNS resolver is being used. For example, the output of the following command will be helpful:

nslookup www.casualpancakes.com

If there are any questions, please let us know and we look forward to getting this issue resolved.

It does not work on any browser, on any device that I try. No matter the connection settings

hi there, it works perfectly for me on the US west coast:

can you please try on a different network - such as your phone?

where are you located, geographically?

I am located in western canada. I tried opening it on multiple devices and browsers and it does not work for me (unless I use my phone data, but then its VERY slow)

Hi, @casualpancakes. As we cannot replicate the issue ourselves, we will need additional information to troubleshoot.

I strongly suspect the issue is DNS related and we can quickly rule that out if it isn’t. If at all possible, please install the command line tool dig on an affected system. DigitalOcean has a great guide about how to do this on various OSes here:

Once dig is installed, the output of the command dig +trace casualpancakes.com will confirm if the issue is DNS or not. This is what I see when I test:

$ dig +trace casualpancakes.com

This traces the lookup from the root DNS servers to the authoritative servers for the domain. I can see that the IP addresses returned were 13.52.17.50 and 167.172.221.254. Your IP addresses will almost certainly differ. I am able to confirm that these two IP addresses above do correspond to IP addresses serving site content at Netlify. There are many of these IP addresses and they change so we do not post a public list but out support team can check them.

Please post the full output as shown above here and this will tell us more about what is happening. It could be something else but checking the DNS is step one.
