Hello Netlify Support,
I need help releasing the DNS zone for jollyedu.ca so I can move my
site to my new team.
BACKGROUND
==========
The original Netlify account was created using “Continue with Google”
with the email info@jollyedu.ca. Earlier this year my email provider
migrated our Google Workspace tenant, which broke the underlying
Google identity that owned the Netlify account. The mailbox
info@jollyedu.ca still works, but the Google sign-in identity behind
it no longer resolves, so I cannot log in. Netlify’s “forgot password”
flow does not help because there was never a password set — the
account was Google-sign-in only.
WHAT IS ON THE LOCKED ACCOUNT
=============================
- Original site name: splendorous-sunshine-ffc94a
- Original account email: info@jollyedu.ca
- Custom domain: jollyedu.ca (managed by Netlify DNS on that team)
MY WORKING ACCOUNT
==================
- Email: hi5canada2026@gmail.com
- New site: cozy-puffpuff-c23c0b
- I am writing to you from this account.
WHAT I NEED
===========
When I try to add jollyedu.ca as a custom domain on cozy-puffpuff-c23c0b,
Netlify blocks it with:
"jollyedu.ca or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS
on another team."
Please either:
(a) Release / delete the jollyedu.ca DNS zone from the locked team so I
can add it to my new team on cozy-puffpuff-c23c0b, OR
(b) Transfer ownership of the site splendorous-sunshine-ffc94a and the
jollyedu.ca domain to my working account hi5canada2026@gmail.com.
I can prove domain ownership via a TXT record at GoDaddy (where I still
own and manage the jollyedu.ca registration).
Thank you very much for your help.
