Pointing domain to my netlify site

my domain is barkavenuepetresort.com and is through register.com. My netlify site is sleepy-mcclintock-fef080.netlify.app

Im trying to get barkave.com to point to sleep-mcclintoc.netlify. To set-up nameserver for custom domain, lmost all other sites including hover & godaddy use naming structure of ns1.sample.com (or .net). Netlify says to name as dns1.sample.net. The domain site says that’s not a legit name. Is this a large typo on Netlify’s part? Any suggestions?

Hi, @Bubba, the name servers for Netlify DNS will end nsone.net . It looks like you have this domain working now for barkavenuepetresort.com:

$ whois barkavenuepetresort.com  2>&1 | egrep -i 'name server'
   Name Server: DNS1.P01.NSONE.NET
   Name Server: DNS2.P01.NSONE.NET
   Name Server: DNS3.P01.NSONE.NET
   Name Server: DNS4.P01.NSONE.NET
Name Server: DNS1.P01.NSONE.NET

Name Server: DNS3.P01.NSONE.NET
Name Server: DNS4.P01.NSONE.NET

However, for barkave.com, I don’t see our name servers being used:

$ whois barkave.com | egrep -i 'name server'
   Name Server: NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
   Name Server: NS2.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
Name Server: NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
