# Please release bsidesdehradun.com, managed by Netlify DNS on another team

Hello,

I control the registrar account for `bsidesdehradun.com` and I am trying to  
add it and two of its subdomains to projects on my own team. Netlify returns:

> `bsidesdehradun.com` or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify  
> DNS on another team.

The Netlify DNS zone for this domain sits on a team belonging to a former  
contributor to the project who is no longer involved and cannot be contacted,  
so I have no way to delete it from that side.

That zone is no longer serving the domain. As of today the `.com` registry  
delegates the domain to `name.com` nameservers, `ns1dhl.name.com` through  
`ns4fpy.name.com`, in a registrar account I control. The Netlify DNS zone on  
the other team is orphaned.

There is a deadline attached. The apex is still served by a project on that  
other team, under a wildcard certificate that expires on 23 November 2026.  
Because DNS is no longer on Netlify, that certificate cannot be renewed by  
DNS-01, and I cannot add the apex to my own team to have one reissued. From  
that date the site presents an expired certificate to every visitor, and  
neither I nor the other team can prevent it.

Hostnames needed: `0x01.bsidesdehradun.com`, `0x02.bsidesdehradun.com`,
