Orphaned DNS zone after deleting a team - custom domain down (production outage)

Site: scintillating-torrone-9a3701
Account/team: manan-jain-eplwcwe (account id 6a59ec8bb3dbe61599806afb)
Custom domain: upyugoglobal.com (primary domain www.upyugoglobal.com)

What happened:
I transferred the site “scintillating-torrone-9a3701” from an old team (“Upyugo Team”, account id 69a8078848daffa4fbfff479) to my current paid team (manan-jain-eplwcwe). The site transfer completed fine. I then deleted the old “Upyugo Team” account, not realizing it was still hosting the Netlify-managed DNS zone for the domain.

Current state:

  • The domain’s nameservers still point to Netlify DNS (dns1-4.p07.nsone.net), confirmed via public DNS lookups.
  • Both the apex and www no longer resolve — the site is fully down.
  • The DNS zone itself still exists (confirmed via netlify api getDnsZones, unscoped): id 69bc030f12b61c0b621b2867, name “upyugoglobal.com”, but its records array is now empty and account_slug still shows the deleted team’s slug.
  • Trying to add the domain fresh on my current team fails with: “already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
  • I cannot GET the zone directly by ID via the API — returns 404, even though it appears in the unscoped list.
  • I cannot transfer it myself either — the transfer endpoint also returns 404 with the same token.

What I need:
Please either:

  1. Transfer DNS zone 69bc030f12b61c0b621b2867 to my current account (6a59ec8bb3dbe61599806afb), or
  2. Delete/release the orphaned zone so I can add the domain fresh and set up Netlify DNS on my current team.

This is a live production outage for a business website — any expedited help is much appreciated.
