Hi Netlify Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue connecting my custom domain to my current Netlify account due to an orphaned DNS zone error.
Details:
- Current/New Netlify Site Name: bizz-automation.netlify.app
- Custom Domain: bizz-automation.com
- Error Message: “bizz-automation.com or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
The old account that originally managed this domain was part of a previous team build, and I no longer have the active login credentials or access to recover it.
I understand that to resolve this, I need to verify domain ownership. To expedite this process, I have already gone into my GoDaddy registrar account and deployed the requested verification TXT record to my live DNS panel:
- Host/Name: verified-for-netlify
- Value: verifying-ownership-to-release-domain
Because this involves business domain assets, could a support engineer please open a private support ticket response associated with this thread so I can securely verify ownership details?
