Netlify Functions OIDC workload identity for Google Cloud WIF

Hello,

I am using a Netlify Function on the Free plan and I need to connect it securely to Google Cloud Firestore using Google Cloud Workload Identity Federation (WIF), without storing a Google service account private key in Netlify.

Does Netlify Functions on the Free plan expose a short-lived OIDC workload identity token that can be exchanged through Google Cloud Security Token Service (STS)?

If yes, could you please provide:

  1. The OIDC issuer URL
  2. The JWKS URL
  3. How to configure the audience
  4. Which stable claims identify the Netlify site/function
  5. How a running Netlify Function obtains the OIDC token
  6. Whether this capability is available on the Free plan

The goal is to authenticate the Netlify Function to Google Cloud using WIF without any long-lived Google credentials.

A principal informação que precisamos confirmar é se o Netlify Functions no plano gratuito oferece atualmente um token de identidade OIDC de curta duração que possa ser usado diretamente com o Google Cloud Workload Identity Federation (WIF).

Nosso objetivo é evitar completamente o armazenamento de uma chave JSON de conta de serviço do Google no Netlify.

Se esse recurso não estiver disponível no plano gratuito, uma confirmação disso também já nos ajudaria a definir outra arquitetura.
