NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID and Subdomain not found

I’ve recently pointed my google domain to Netlify’s nameservers. In my dashboard the site says it’s HTTPS enabled and the certificate from DigiCert says valid, but I’m getting a NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID when visiting the site. I’m also getting a similar error when visiting the subdomain shop.

Netlify domain: schulzcollection.netlify.com
Root Domain: schulzcollection.com

I do have an alias in the records for shop.schulzcollection.com as well as an A record for the shop domain. I’m not sure that the alias in Netlify should be included… Could this be partially the issue?

shop.schulzcollection.com 300 IN A 23.227.38.65
shop.schulzcollection.com 3600 IN NETLIFY schulzcollection.netlify.app

I also have MX records configured.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey thanks for the reply! I think I misspoke by saying transferred. I’ve actually just pointed the google domain to netlify’s nameservers.

hi so, to clarify, is this still a problem or has it been resolved?

Hey Perry, thanks for getting back to me. I was able to resolve the root domain error after renewing the certificate, but was not able to get the subdomain working so I decided to point the domain back to google’s nameservers altogether and create an A and CNAME record from there.

Hi, @jakepfahl. If there are other questions about this, please let us know.
