Hi there @perry , could you please increase out buildout timeout to 45 minutes? It looks like it has failed after a 16 minute run and a 22 minute run. API ID: 804b1ad0-c684-4dba-96b7-7cbb343bd43d
hi dericklee, sorry it took us a bit! you are now at a 45 min build timeout, and someone from netlify will also reach out to you to see if a custom option might be a better fit - thats something we like to do for anyone asking for more than 30 minutes. you are good to go in the interim!
Hi Perry, thank you so much! We had someone who moved it to 30 minutes earlier this morning but for some reason we had a continued fail at 15 minutes. Perhaps now its changed with your side of the increase. Do you happen to know why it still failed at 15 minutes even though it was increased to 30 earlier? Looks like it was an exit code 134.
Thank you Perry!
hi again! so, we have confirmed that your build timeout is indeed at 45 minutes, but this seems to be a separate issue, potentially related to too high memory use, which may be causing some weirdness and a build timeout despite the upgrade. Could you link us to a build with an error message, ideally one with a build timeout error so we can take a look? thanks.
Hey there Perry, thanks for supporting us in evaluating the error. I’ve attached a screenshot from when the error occurred and its compilation messages thereafter.
Let us know what your gut may be saying…
Perry asked for the link rather than a screenshot, but I found that build. It is what Perry described: you overuse available memory in the build environment and you’ll need to scale back usage to complete that build successfully . Or , to put another way, nothing to do with our time limits.
This doc has some more details on what is available and some tips on how to stay within those limits:
Would you please increase our build timeout to 45 minutes for:
We just created this one and it looks to be timing out after only 2 mins.
Could we set our default to 30 minutes, too?
hey dan - that site is now at 45 mins. can you try and deploy again? I will chat with a support engineer and see if we can set your default to 30 minutes. If we can, I’ll let you know!
we were able to set you up with a 1 hr default build time limit for all new sites. Don’t hesitate to give us a shout if that doesn’t work for some reason.
Hello, may I have a build timeout extended to 45 mins? It is a portfolio site with many images. Would be greatly appreciated! The site API ID is:

Hey there, we’ve bumped that up for you. Our sales/solutions team may reach out to you to discuss your requirements going forward!
