I own meetlakhani.com (currently hosted on WordPress). I’m trying to connect it to my Netlify site but get ‘already managed by another team’. Can you release the domain?

Hi,

I’m trying to connect my domain meetlakhani.com to a new Netlify site, but I get the error:

“meetlakhani.com or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”

I have never used Netlify before, and I currently host my site on WordPress.

I own the domain and can verify ownership if needed. Could you please release the domain so I can connect it to my Netlify account?

This is a common issue when migrating from WordPress to Netlify. You need to first remove the domain from your current Netlify team account before adding it to a new one. Go to your old team settings, find domain management, and release it from there. If you no longer have access to the old team account you will need to contact Netlify support directly with domain ownership proof.
