# How can I get our domain released from an old Netlify account ASAP?

I have built a site and it is ready to go, however when we try to claim our domain on Netlify it says there is another account that has claimed it. We no longer have access to the account, it is stale/an old user. And the connection isn’t being used for anything in our live website.

We have already uploaded all the verification / TXT information to our DNS. It just needs Netlify to release the domain. This is bottlenecking out project.
