I’m hosting a client’s site like prefecture-rendez-vous.fr - it sends SMS alerts for French prefecture appointments (visas, naturalization, etc.) with 24/7 monitoring.

Considering Netlify hosting and need to know:

  1. Pricing: Free plan enough for moderate-high traffic during peak administrative periods?

  2. Scalability: How does it handle traffic spikes when many users check appointments simultaneously?

  3. Features: Any paid features beneficial for this type of real-time alert service?

Thanks for any insights! Experience with similar administrative/government-related sites appreciated.

Any plan is fine, in fact all plans have the same handling for spikes or anything. Only the High Performance Edge has its own separate infrastructure. Your site should be fine.
