# External DNS. Our apex must remain on another host. Please decouple www from apex

- netlify site name: revx-website.netlify.app
- DNS issues? External DNS on Network Solutions. Our apex must remain on another host. I need [www.revxsystems.com](http://www.revxsystems.com) as primary custom domain with a certificate, but the dashboard forces the apex primary and it can’t verify. Please decouple the apex from the www so that www can be set as primary and be verified.
- Did you try [Ask Netlify](https://docs.netlify.com/ask-netlify?attr=forums), our generative AI chatbot, before posting? Yes, and it was not able to help.
- This is URGENT as our site visitors are receiving a “not secure” warning due to dns not verified.
