"Email not confirmed" in next js project

I’m using netlify identity in a next js project. I’m using netlify-identity-widget but when I try to login I get “Email not confirmed”. I can’t even disable confirmation from the netlify UI because it’s saying that starter teams cannot change email templates. How do I make it work?
