Netlify site name: sage-pasca-1f73b0 — but note this is a new site I created specifically to try connecting tablecover.ch to my own account; it does not currently hold the domain. The actual site holding tablecover.ch is a separate one I have no access to or visibility into — releasing the domain from that inaccessible site is what I need help with.

I’m the registered owner of tablecover.ch (via Hostpoint, a Swiss registrar). The site was deployed about a year ago via Bolt.new (a coding platform integrating with Netlify), by a collaborator, before Bolt.new had its own native hosting. Neither of us has ever had a personal Netlify account containing this site — we’ve checked every account either of us has access to.
I did ask Netlify’s own “Ask Netlify” chatbot first, which pointed me to the “Release a domain from another account” support form. That form requires passing an automated DNS-verification check before the submit button unlocks. I added the exact TXT record it generated (verified-for-netlify.tablecover.ch), confirmed via external DNS checkers that it’s fully propagated, and waited several hours — verification still won’t pass, which blocks me from ever reaching submit. I believe the check isn’t designed to succeed when a domain is already actively claimed by a different team.
Could someone manually look into releasing tablecover.ch? Happy to provide registrar/WHOIS proof of ownership.
