Hello Netlify Support,
I’m reaching out regarding an issue with a domain that appears to still be linked to a previous Netlify account that we no longer have access to.
Domain: patriotpads.com
Issue:
This domain was previously connected to an older Netlify account. That account/site has since been deleted in preparation for transferring the domain to a new Netlify account. However, the domain still seems to be associated with the old account on Netlify’s side, preventing us from adding or verifying it in our new account.
Current Situation:
-
We no longer have access to the old Netlify account
-
The domain is now managed via Wix (DNS records attached if needed)
-
We are attempting to connect the domain to a new Netlify account but are blocked due to the existing association
Request:
Could you please:
-
Remove/unlink the domain from the old Netlify account
-
Allow us to verify and connect it to our current Netlify account
Proof of Ownership:
Please let me know if you would like us to add a TXT record or any other DNS verification method. We have full access to the domain DNS and can make changes as needed.
Thank you for your help in resolving this. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Proof of Ownership:
We have already added a TXT record at our registrar (Wix) to prove ownership of the domain:
Host: verified-for-netlify
Value: patriotpadtestdomain.netlify.app
I wanted to follow up on this request regarding patriotpads.com, as we’re still unable to connect the domain to our new Netlify account.
As mentioned, we’ve already added the TXT record for verification:
We still don’t have access to the previous Netlify account, so we’re blocked from removing the domain association on our end.
Could you please confirm whether:
-
The TXT record is visible on your side, and
-
You’re able to proceed with unlinking the domain from the old account?
If there’s any additional verification step required, we’re happy to complete it right away.
Appreciate your help in resolving this—looking forward to your update.
Thank you!
