Domain stuck on "Netlify DNS propagating..." despite working website and valid SSL

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with my custom domain and would appreciate your help.

Site:

  • syntheglobe.netlify.app

Custom domain:

The website is online and the Let’s Encrypt certificate appears to be valid.

However, my primary domain has been showing:

“Netlify DNS propagating…”

for several months.

My domain is registered with Wix, and ICANN confirms that the authoritative nameservers are:

Inside Netlify, I also noticed that a Netlify DNS Zone exists, even though the domain is still using Wix nameservers.

Additionally, I have experienced intermittent SSL issues (ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR). The issue disappeared after clearing Chromium’s network cache, but I would like to understand whether this is related to the DNS configuration.

Could you please help me understand:

  1. Why is the domain still showing “Netlify DNS propagating…” after several months?
  2. Is this expected because my DNS is managed by Wix?
  3. Is it safe to delete the Netlify DNS Zone?
  4. Could the current DNS configuration be responsible for the intermittent SSL issues?

Thank you very much for your help.
