Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with my custom domain and would appreciate your help.
Site:
- syntheglobe.netlify.app
Custom domain:
The website is online and the Let’s Encrypt certificate appears to be valid.
However, my primary domain has been showing:
“Netlify DNS propagating…”
for several months.
My domain is registered with Wix, and ICANN confirms that the authoritative nameservers are:
Inside Netlify, I also noticed that a Netlify DNS Zone exists, even though the domain is still using Wix nameservers.
Additionally, I have experienced intermittent SSL issues (ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR). The issue disappeared after clearing Chromium’s network cache, but I would like to understand whether this is related to the DNS configuration.
Could you please help me understand:
- Why is the domain still showing “Netlify DNS propagating…” after several months?
- Is this expected because my DNS is managed by Wix?
- Is it safe to delete the Netlify DNS Zone?
- Could the current DNS configuration be responsible for the intermittent SSL issues?
Thank you very much for your help.
