Hi Netlify Team,
I’m trying to add my custom domain ivcentral.cl to my current project (ivcentralll), but I get the following error:
“ivcentral.cl or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
This domain was previously connected to Netlify DNS under a different team/account. I deleted that old team and site without first removing the domain from Netlify DNS, so the DNS zone is now orphaned and I no longer have any access to it.
I checked the domain’s current nameservers via NIC Chile’s official WHOIS (nic.cl/registry/Whois.do?d=ivcentral.cl), and they are no longer pointing to Netlify:
- secundario.nic.cl
- urlfwd1.nic.cl
Since the domain is currently on NIC Chile’s basic free DNS/forwarding service, I’m unable to create a custom TXT verification record (verified-for-netlify) to prove ownership that way.
However, the WHOIS record clearly shows me as the registered owner (Titular): Camilo Alexis Pereyra Salinas.
Could you please manually release the orphaned DNS zone for ivcentral.cl so I can add it to my current project? Happy to provide any additional proof of ownership if needed.
