Domain Expired 48 hours ago cant get my site up

Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with a critical issue and could really use some help or escalation from the Netlify team.

My domain lapsed over 48 hours ago, and since then my entire site has been down. I’ve already taken steps to renew/recover the domain, but the site is still not resolving properly through Netlify, and I haven’t been able to get a response from support.

This is not just a minor inconvenience—this site is actively tied to ongoing work, and the downtime is becoming a serious problem.

Current situation:

  • Domain expired → now renewed/recovering

  • Site still down / not resolving

  • DNS appears stuck or not propagating correctly

  • No response from support after multiple attempts

I’m trying to understand:

  • Is there a delay in Netlify re-linking domains after expiration?

  • Do I need to manually reconfigure DNS or reattach the domain?

  • Is there any way to force refresh/redeploy domain settings?

If anyone from Netlify or the community has dealt with this before, I’d really appreciate guidance or a push in the right direction.

Happy to provide domain details privately if needed.

Thanks in advance — really hoping to get this resolved ASAP.

Hey @pdxor ,
Thanks for reaching out!

We’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket for you, so our team can follow up with you directly via email from the help desk. Our Support crew will be in touch with you by email soon.

Great news: these days anyone can reach out to Netlify Support. First, you can try getting an answer using Ask Netlify, our helpful AI search tool. If your question isn’t answered there, you can submit a ticket using the support form, and we’ll take it from there.

We’re keeping the community around for swapping ideas, sharing tips and tricks, and talking shop with other folks building on the platform — but for support issues, tickets are the way to go.

Thanks for being here, and keep an eye out for that email from us!
