Hi there, glad you found us  before we can help you, we need some more information on the issues you are facing.

Please tell us:

  • the name of your build instance: β€œexample-jones.netlify.com”
  • what you are trying to accomplish
  • what you have already tried
  • any error messages you have received in your terminal window or in the developer console

Thank you!

I want when i make a update to my site to update in netlify automaticly.

hi @IvHrIvanov - if you read the error message, you will see that this is the problem:

2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! code ENOENT
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! syscall open
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! path /opt/build/repo/package.json
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! errno -2
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, open β€˜/opt/build/repo/package.json’
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! enoent This is related to npm not being able to find a file.
2:06:05 PM: npm ERR! enoent

your project requires a package.json file if you are doing anything more complex than just deploying static html - you will need to include a correct package.json file in your project for this to work.

more details and debugging info here:

ok my error now is this
10:59:21 PM: 1. Build command from Netlify app

HI @IvHrIvanov

Looking at your repo it appears you have a simple HTML page (only one page) so there is actually nothing that needs building. Therefore, your build command in Netlify should remain empty. If you are not building anything, there is no need for the package.json and package-lock.json files.

Note that node_modules directory is generally added to the .gitignore file so it isn’t pushed to git.
