Deploy fails with 502; exit status 128 - cannot link repo?

Hello everyone,

been a long time Netlify customer but this experience is testing my resolve. Site has been linked to github repo for some time and has been building and deploying fine. However, today I am getting Failed during stage ‘preparing repo’: For more information, visit Build troubleshooting tips | Netlify Docs fatal: unable to access ‘repo’. Why would this start happening when its been able to access fine in the past? Builds locally etc are fine.

@swamy That can happen when there is an outage with the git provider.

For example it looks like GitHub is currently encountering some issues…

If that’s the underlying cause of your issue then you’ll just need to wait until it resolves.
