Site name: wintermarket.netlify.app
Site ID: 32f39e02-dd7f-4867-ac51-2eeb28311b75
Tried Ask Netlify first: yes. It said this requires a Netlify support engineer with backend access and could not resolve it.
Custom domains involved:
portal.wintermarketeindhoven.nl— current primary. Its DNS is hosted outside Netlify on nameservers I have no access to, so it will never point at Netlify. I need to remove it.portalwintermarket.nl— current alias, on Netlify DNS (dns1-4.p08.nsone.net), resolving correctly. I need this to become the primary domain.
The deadlock. Any attempt to change custom domains, in the UI or via the API, returns:
422 — We're provisioning a certificate for your site, you cannot change custom domains until that process completes
But there is no certificate behind that flag:
GET /api/v1/sites/{id}/ssl→nullPOST /api/v1/sites/{id}/ssl→{"error":"bad dns for custom domain"}
That second error is expected — provisioning validates against the primary domain, which can never resolve to Netlify. So provisioning can never succeed, the flag it set can never clear, and the domain change that would fix it is blocked by that same flag. Each side blocks the other and I can’t break it from either end.
What I’m asking for: could you clear the stuck provisioning state, or directly set custom_domain to portalwintermarket.nl and remove portal.wintermarketeindhoven.nl from the site?
Thanks
