# Custom Domain Ownership Verification: Please Release oscarruto.com

Hello Netlify Support Team,

I am attempting to add my custom domain `oscarruto.com` to my active Netlify project (`oscarruto.netlify.app`), but I am blocked by the error: “Another project is already using this domain.”

This domain might have been previously connected to a legacy project that I no longer use. I am the verified owner of this domain. To prove ownership, I have successfully added the required DNS validation record to my registrar:

- **Type:** TXT

- **Host/Name:** verified-for-netlify

- **Value:** netlifydomainverification

Please verify this DNS record and release `oscarruto.com` from the old project configuration so I can link it to my current account. Thank you.
