Custom domain DNS issue

Hello, trying to get a custom domain for 032023-brandpowerscore-beta.netlify.app. The domain is brandpowerscore.com, registered with AWS route 53. I had the client update the nameservers to the correct ones, as well as shorten the TTL temporarily so it would propagate faster, but netlify is still saying the site doesn’t appear to be served by netlify and can’t get the DNS control. Can someone see what the error might be?

The issue is the nameservers aren’t configured correctly as whois shows.

% whois brandpowerscore.com | grep -i 'Name Server'
Name Server: NS-1474.AWSDNS-56.ORG
Name Server: NS-1704.AWSDNS-21.CO.UK
Name Server: NS-234.AWSDNS-29.COM
Name Server: NS-551.AWSDNS-04.NET

Have a look through [Support Guide] How to detect and fix inactive Netlify DNS zones which includes information specific to AWS Route 53

right, those are the old nameservers. the client told me they changed them to the netlify ones. is it just a matter of waiting? or does that mean they didn’t change them correctly?

Yes. The links provided above will provide you with the required information to change them properly.

Hi, @kmcabano. I can also confirm that the domain is not using Netlify DNS at this time and that the support guide @jasiqli linked to is the correct information to troubleshoot this issue.

If there are any questions after reading that support guide, please let us know.
