Custom domain blocked: berkeley.edu subdomain managed by another team

Dear Netlify Support,

I am trying to add cmr.berkeley.edu to my site (cmr-develop.netlify.app), but I’m getting the error that it’s already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.

I was working with campus DNS administration yesterday (Friday afternoon) to request a DNS transfer. Because the request was urgent, they moved forward with the change before we were able to detect this problem and unfortunately I haven’t been able to get back in touch to coordinate with them during after-hours.

  • I will be working with Berkeley DNS to try to add the verified-for-netlify TXT record to prove ownership as soon as possible.
  • But because of the timing over the weekend, I was hoping there was an alternative way to prove ownership and/or bypass this restriction on the subdomain cmr.berkeley.edu

Could a support engineer please help clear the block?

I’m writing to confirm that the UC Berkeley DNS office has supplied the following TXT record for verification.

verified-for-netlify IN TXT Netlify Support Ticket 1048320.

I would appreciate any assistance in clearing the domain block this morning, thank you!
