PLEASE help us help you by writing a good post!netlify I have been on this error for about two months. I have my domain name jobnmadu.rbind.io (jobnmadu.netlify.app) but when I want to setup the DNS, only rbind.io is showing as in the picture. How do I enter my own domain in order to proceed?

  • we need to know your netlify site name. Example: gifted-antelope-58b104.netlify.app
  • DNS issues? Tell us the custom domain, tell us the error message! We can’t help if we don’t know your domain.
  • Build problems? Link or paste the FULL build log & build settings screenshot

You’re barking up the wrong tree there, @JobNmadu! You do NOT want to activate Netlify DNS on your site - just add the custom domain and domain alias WITHOUT configuring Netlify DNS (which means “Netlify hosts DNS for rbind.io” - which we do not!) and it should work fine as it has for a few hundred of Yihui’s other customers :slight_smile:

The picture helps to explain the challenge I have been facing. The DNS has not configured even after my domain name was approved. Any help could help to resolve this long-standing issue.
