"certificate parameter is required when updating an existing certificate" — stale cert state

Hi, I’m unable to provision an SSL certificate for my custom domain schoolfinder.ie on Netlify. When I click “Provision certificate” I get the error: “certificate parameter is required when updating an existing certificate”.

  • Let’s Debug (letsdebug.net) shows All OK

  • DNS is correctly pointing to Netlify nameservers

  • No CAA records blocking Let’s Encrypt

  • DNS checker shows A records propagating globally

It seems Netlify’s system thinks a certificate already exists and is trying to update rather than provision fresh. Could a support engineer please reset the certificate state for my site so I can reprovision?
