Certificate parameter is required when updating an existing certificate — reset SSL state

Hi Netlify Support,

My site is: writefirst.netlify.app
Custom domain: writefirst.org (also configured www.writefirst.org)

DNS verification was successful, but when I click “Provision certificate” I get the error:

“certificate parameter is required when updating an existing certificate”

DNS is configured via external DNS (Cloudflare):

  • writefirst.org → CNAME → apex-loadbalancer.netlify.com (DNS only, not proxied)
  • www.writefirst.org → CNAME → writefirst.netlify.app (DNS only, not proxied)

I’ve confirmed:

  • No conflicting A/AAAA records
  • No CAA record blocking Let’s Encrypt
  • DNSSEC is disabled
  • DNS verification in the dashboard shows successful

It appears there’s a stale/stuck certificate record on the backend blocking a fresh Let’s Encrypt certificate from being provisioned. Could you please clear/reset the existing SSL state for this site so I can provision a new certificate?

Thank you!
