Hi,
Site: energieduyogi.netlify.app
Custom domain: energieduyogi.fr (primary) + www.energieduyogi.fr (alias)
The domain expired and lapsed for a period, during which it stopped resolving. I have since re-registered it and restored the Netlify DNS nameservers. Since then, Netlify cannot provision a Let’s Encrypt certificate for the custom domain.
What I’ve verified:
- NS delegation is correct: dns1-dns4.p03.nsone.net, consistent across all four authoritative servers
- The zone contains the expected records:
energieduyogi.fr 3600 IN NETLIFY energieduyogi.netlify.app
www.energieduyogi.fr 3600 IN NETLIFY energieduyogi.netlify.app - Both hostnames resolve to Netlify’s edge (98.84.224.111 / 18.208.88.157)
- No CAA record at energieduyogi.fr or at the .fr level, no DNSSEC/DS record
- “Verify DNS configuration” in the dashboard returns “DNS verification was successful”
- energieduyogi.netlify.app loads the site correctly, so the deploy is healthy
Despite this, “Provision certificate” fails every time with the generic message that DNS records are not pointing at your servers.
My assumption is that renewal attempts failed repeatedly while the domain was expired, and the certificate is now in a stuck failure state that a DNS fix alone doesn’t clear.
Could you clear the stale certificate state for this domain and re-trigger provisioning? If the failure is a Let’s Encrypt rate limit instead, could you confirm which limit and when it resets, so I stop retrying?
Thanks,
Johan
