A Netlify DNS zone for matmazelgirlsshop.com.tr (zone id 6a9de7005056d313fb6b8747) belongs to an old team (slug aithondigital, id 6a9dd43f1dc3a5c7c61ce5b6) that no longer appears in my account. The zone is empty and linked to no site.
Because of it I cannot add the domain to my current team (Aithon, slug aithon, id 6aa14766f1a29ff720e4786f). Both the apex and every subdomain return “is owned by another account”.
Could you delete that DNS zone / release the domain so I can add it to my current team? I will use external DNS, not Netlify DNS. Two extra details:
- The old team was deleted, which is why it no longer shows in my team switcher. The DNS zone appears to have been left behind.
- I want to attach the domain to the site matmazel-girls-shop (id
8ceb87c6-7720-4db3-bc95-dfadc132b2e7) in team aithon.
Any update on this? It has been two business days and the zone is still in place.
To summarise and add the details that were missing from my first post:
- The old team (slug
aithondigital, id 6a9dd43f1dc3a5c7c61ce5b6) was deleted. Its DNS zone for matmazelgirlsshop.com.tr (zone id 6a9de7005056d313fb6b8747) was left behind. The zone is empty and linked to no site.
- I cannot add the domain to my current team Aithon (slug
aithon, id 6aa14766f1a29ff720e4786f). The API returns 422 — "custom_domain is owned by another account" for the apex and for every subdomain, so there is no workaround on my side.
- I want to attach it to the site matmazel-girls-shop (id
8ceb87c6-7720-4db3-bc95-dfadc132b2e7), using external DNS — I do not need Netlify DNS for this domain.
This is blocking the launch of a client’s e-commerce site: the domain is also required for their payment provider application, so the delay has a knock-on cost. I am the owner of the registered domain and of the account the deleted team belonged to, and I am happy to verify ownership any way you need.
Could someone release the domain? Thank you.
