Hi folks,

I have a tiny site here, resilient-selkie-c9841f, that does exactly one job: it sends visitors from pt-weiterbildung.de over to www.pt-weiterbildung.de. The www side is hosted somewhere else on purpose and won’t ever point at Netlify.

When I added the apex domain, www got added automatically as its partner. Now the certificate can’t renew, because Netlify can’t verify www: “Certificate renewal incomplete: missing domains www.pt-weiterbildung.de”. Hitting “Renew certificate” doesn’t change anything, and I can’t remove www from the domain list myself.

I found this thread by nkrasnogor with the same situation, where Luke removed the pairing on the support side:

Colleagues, this is related to my site workliapp.netlify.app This site hots the landing pages for my app. I need to have only www.workliapp.com as a custom domains but the settings page shows also (besides workliapp.netlify.app & www.workliapp.com) workliapp.com . I need that last one removed as it is a root domain hosted elsewhere. How do I do that? and if I cannot, can you do that for me please? Thank you

Could you do the same for my site and drop www.pt-weiterbildung.de, so the certificate only covers pt-weiterbildung.de? I’m totally fine with the domain list being locked to support-only changes after that.
