Beginner Problems with Deploying (.app instead of .com)

Above is a picture of what my webpage is showing and a link to a website I tried to deploy.

I am following a UDemy HTML tutorial. In the tutorial, the site is showing up with a “.com” tag at the end instead of a “.app” tag like I have.

I don’t know where this error in deploying is coming from.

I am new at Netlify and website development in general.

Any tips on how to fix this would be appreciated.

looks like you are working off a tutorial that was published before we changed our URLs last April! You can learn more about that here:

Starting April 14, 2020, sites without a custom domain are being moved from site-name.netlify.com to site-name.netlify.app . New websites will also have URLs ending with netlify.app by default. This shouldn’t cause your app to not work - it just means it ends in .app not .com
