Title: “bad URI (is not URI?)” error when adding a _dmarc TXT record
Site name: higherquay.netlify.app
Domain: higherquay.com (registered at Porkbun, DNS delegated to Netlify DNS)
I’m trying to add a DMARC record so my email provider (Kit) will stop flagging my domain as non-compliant. Every attempt fails with this error:
bad URI(is not URI?): “https://api.nsone.net/v1/zones/higherquay.com/_dmarc.higherquay.com/TXT”
What I’m entering:
Record type: TXT
Name: _dmarc
Value: v=DMARC1;p=none
TTL: blank
Things I’ve already tried:
• With and without the rua=mailto: reporting address
• With and without spaces after the semicolons
• With the value wrapped in quotes
• On both an iPhone and an iPad, including with Request Desktop Website
Same error every time. There is no existing _dmarc record in the zone. Could someone add this record for me, or let me know what I’m entering incorrectly?
Thanks.
