Hey Netlify,

I am desperate,
I was following this tutorial on YouTube about how to build and deploy a web app, and to continue I need to log in to Netlify,

At first, I tried to sign up with GitHub, but I couldn’t because the app said I already have an account, so I tried to log in, and it gave me the exact same error,
And I tried to sigh up via email, the verification link expired instantly, the app suggested resetting password, and I did, but I am suspended,

I have done this with my other email as well, but the same thing keeps happening.

I just want to finish the course,
I will be glad if you can help me check this problem under this email, [agu.chikaodiri.ng@gmail.com]

Thanks for letting us know about the login issue with GitHub. The usual solution for this issue is the following steps.

  1. Login to Netlify using the email address and password only.
  • If you do not have a password configured, you can add one by using the password reset form: Netlify App
  1. Once logged into Netlify with the email address and password, then change the GitHub account associated with this email address here: Netlify App
  2. Log out of Netlify.

Once this is done, you should be able to log into Netlify using GitHub or the email address. Both methods of login should work now. If they do not or if there are any other questions, please let us know.

I have done all you stated here.
First, i successfully set the password.
But on logging in with the password i got this prompt
Appeal an account suspension
And it further show a identity verification box.

Please assist me.
I am really in need of a netlify account… my learning can’t proceed if I don’t have an account with Netlify.

Please help me check and resolve the flag issues on my details.

For you, @ashish2025, the usual solution for this issue is the following steps.

  1. Login to Netlify using the email address and password only.

  2. Once logged into Netlify with the email address and password, then change the GitHub account associated with this email address here: https://app.netlify.com/user/settings#connected-accounts

  3. Log out of Netlify.

Once this is done, you should be able to log into Netlify using GitHub or the email address. Both methods of login should work now. If they do not or if there are any other questions, please let us know.
