Greetings
My account has been suspended and I need this resolved urgently, as it’s blocking active client work.
Account details:
- Login method: GitHub OAuth (GitHub account linked under “riegelmail”)
- Error received: “Authentication Error — Your account has been suspended. Please contact support for assistance.”
- This happens even after successfully completing GitHub authorization — I’m redirected straight to the suspension error every time, so I have zero dashboard access under any login path.
- I received no email from Netlify before or after the suspension explaining the reason.
Confirmed cause:
One of my sites on this account, https://contact-mapping-tool.netlify.app/, is flagged by Google Safe Browsing. I checked Google’s own Safe Browsing status page for the URL, which states the site “contains harmful content, including pages that try to trick visitors into sharing personal info.” This is a false positive — the flagged page is a standard passwordless “enter your email, we’ll send a sign-in link” magic-link login form for a legitimate internal business tool, not a phishing page. I understand this specific pattern (an email-collecting login form on a shared *.netlify.app subdomain) is a known trigger for Safe Browsing’s automated phishing classifier.
This is a real, actively-used business tool built for legitimate client work — not a test project, and not malicious in any way.
What I’d like:
- Confirmation that this Safe Browsing flag is what triggered the account suspension
- Guidance on next steps to clear the flag (I’m also pursuing a review directly through Google’s Safe Browsing process)
- Reinstatement of full account access once resolved, as this is currently blocking a client launch
Happy to provide any and all additional verification. Anything you need. Thank you so much for resolving this quickly!!
-Chris
