# Accidentally deleted the netlify type dns record. can I add it back?

Hi @lalsamir

Short answer, no, you can’t add **NETLIFY** type records.

Options:

- Remove the domain from Netlify and add it back. This will create the required records when re-added.
- A _Support Engineer_ can add the missing records for you.

The first option is quicker if you don’t have a large number of other records.
